We are very privileged to be some of the first people to get our hands on the new Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path Adventure Atlas published by A-Z Maps the official partner of National Trails.
We launched MarGins Walking and Glamping Holidays shortly after the newest section of the Norfolk Coast Path was opened from Sea Palling to Hopton-on-Sea on the Suffolk border in 2016. Two of our walking packages (The Avocet and The Lapwing) includes this new section but it quickly became apparent there was no official map for this section, which would cause a problem for our guests wanting to walk this new section.
A-Z maps have been so supportive of our new venture and completely understood our dilemma. So we would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to Kieran from A-Z maps who has managed to get these fantastic atlases published in time for our guests walking the full 84 miles of the Norfolk Coast Path from Hunstanton to Hopton-on-Sea.
All our guests will now receive an informative atlas when they book a MarGins Walking Package to guide them through each mile of the stunning Norfolk Coast Path.
The A-Z Adventure Series of maps combines the best of OS and A-Z creating the perfect companion for walkers, off-road cyclists, horse riders and anyone wishing to explore the great outdoors.
This is an official National Trail Map for the Norfolk Coast Path and Peddars Way. Together, these routes form a 93 mile (150km) National Trail across west Norfolk and along its northern coast. Each path has its own distinctive characteristics – the directness of Peddars Way, following the course of a Roman Road, through forest, heath, open farmland and quiet river valleys contrasting with the small harbours, low cliffs, sand and saltmarsh found along the Norfolk Coast Path. Both share a rich landscape with fantastic scenery, wide open skies and an abundance of wildlife. The route on the map is clearly highlighted in yellow with mileage markers to gauge distances when planning sections of the walk to enjoy.
A-Z Adventure Atlases include a comprehensive index to towns, villages, natural features, nature reserves, car parks and youth hostels. Each index entry has a page reference and a six figure National Grid Reference.
QR codes give smart phone users quick and easy access to a broad range of helpful web sites, including temporary route updates from the National Trails, regional information, map reading advice and weather reports etc.
Information about all 16 National Trails is provided by Walk Unlimited, a not-for-profit company.
