We’re very excited to introduce to you, the newest member (and teeny tiniest member) of the MarGins Tent Elf family, Little Elfie!
Do you like the name?? We just couldn’t resist it and she really does suit it.
We’d been talking about getting another pooch for a few years but always ended up talking ourselves out of it, mainly due to worrying that Miss Brylie wouldn’t accept another dog in the family and the last thing we wanted to do was upset our beautiful girl. Miss Brylie is such a good girl, we can take her anywhere. The only problem was with other dogs coming to our home. She has a dominant side that just doesn’t accept another adult dog in our home that well.
We hoped that deciding to introduce her to a puppy wouldn’t be seen as a threat but more of a “what the heck is that?” and hoping her maternal side would kick in. Brylie is a mixed breed rescue, and I’d always said I would only get rescues in the future but in the end you just have to do what you think is right for your dog.
So……3 weeks ago, we welcomed Little Elfie into our lives, and I’m so relieved that our plan has worked out so well, Miss Brylie has been an absolute star with her. From the moment we brought her home (Brylie came with us to collect Elfie) they have played together wonderfully, with Brylie letting Elfie know when she’s getting on her nerves…..but I have to say, Miss Brylie is quite often the main instigator of playtime!
Training is going well, Elfie loves to learn (thank goodness) and we’re looking forward to introducing her to the tent elf world when the season starts at the beginning of May!
She’s now had all her injections and already been to the beach, the woods, along country lanes, in a cafe (turned a few heads) plus her first puppy socialising session (or as Mr Tent Elf called it a ‘Puppy Party’!).
So many adventures are coming her way……….
