When I (James Bussey; Native Origin business owner) started to plan this project, there were already a few people in my mind that I wanted to interview. These people had already entered my life and inspired me with their passion, their belief and their approach to running their business.
Gin Wilson-North was one of the very first people I met when I began networking over three years ago. We met at a Business Means Coffee event at the Holkham Studios in North Norfolk. Gin had set up one of her tents to showcase her business to the other delegates and she was an absolute hit. Not just because her idea was brilliant, but because she exuded all of the qualities of an inspiring entrepreneur.
The walking and glamping business she has set up with her talented husband Mark (who works for the Norfolk Fire Brigade when not running the business) might look quite straightforward to the untrained eye. But it is honestly anything but.
MarGins Walking and Glamping Holidays is inspired out of a love of the North Norfolk coast. It is driven by a pair of entrepreneurs that are passionate about giving other people adventures and helping them to fall in love with our coastline. And their brilliant business is founded on the experience gained and skills practised over a decade of providing international aid relief to disaster-stricken countries.
Gin has always been an inspiring figure in my business journey, so I thoroughly enjoyed speaking to her and Mark to find out why they do what they do.
