At one with nature…

Picture this…….. You are standing in a hollow surrounded by woodland. As you slowly turn around all you can see is nature at it’s finest. Tall elegant trees swaying in a gentle breeze, wild flowers standing proud amongst a backdrop of nettles, ferns and other wild plants. As you look up all you can see is blue sky with a few whisps of fluffy clouds forming various shapes as they drift slowly overhead. Now cup your ears, the birdsong is magnificent, a personal orchestra of cheeps and chirps all in tune with nature………. Over to your right is your accommodation for the night, fully equipped tents all set up waiting for your arrival, inviting you in with open arms. I walk because……

May is National Walking Month National Walking Month is a campaign to promote the benefits of walking and to get everyone walking, no matter what your level of fitness is.  Walking is simple and free and one of the easiest ways to be more active, lose weight and become healthier. I think it’s fair to say, I love walking. I’m not what you would call an experienced hiker, just a lover of getting out there and exploring the big outdoors and all it has to offer.
